(iTers News) - Semtech Corporation, a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced its partnership with Blackmagic Design, a leading manufacturer of broadcast and post production equipment, on a line of higher-resolution production equipment based on Semtech’s 6G UHD-SDI components.
Blackmagic Design, utilizing Semtech’s 6G UHD-SDI equalizers and cable drivers, is the first broadcast equipment supplier to bring video production products to market featuring a 6G UHD-SDI interface.
Semtech’s Gennum Product Group will be showcasing its latest 6G UHD-SDI solutions at the International Broadcast Convention show in Amsterdam, September 13-17, 2013. Blackmagic Design’s 6G UHD-SDI products can be seen at the company’s booth at the International Broadcast Convention, Amsterdam, NL.
Semtech’s GS6042 6G UHD-SDI adaptive cable equalizer platform features the industry’s longest cable reach at 6G UHD-SDI, 3G, HD and SD data-rates. In addition, the GS6080 and GS6081 are the industry’s first 6G UHD-SDI cable driver platforms and, in conjunction with the GS6042, provide the industry’s most robust 6G UHD-SDI connectivity solution.
Blackmagic Design will be bringing to IBC a comprehensive 6G-UHD-SDI product offering including:
- ATEM Production Switcher 4K - The world's first Ultra HD live production switcher, features 6G-SDI in SD, HD and Ultra HD.
- HyperDeck Studio Pro - Advanced SSD recorder with 6G-SDI, HDMI 4K, analog, Thunderbolt and 4K support. Record and playback SD, HD or Ultra HD with dual SSD’s for continuous recording.
- Blackmagic Audio Monitor - Rack mount audio monitoring from 6G-SDI, AES/EBU and analog audio sources. Dual subwoofer design with VU meters and built in LCD for video monitoring.
