(iTers News/Video News) - At a glance, it looks like a sort of hologram-based UI technology, but a deep peek reveals that it is a different sort of gesture-recognition touch UI technology called as ‘3D Air Touch’ State-funded KETI, Korea Electronics Technology Institute combines IR, or infrared technology and 3D depth camera technology to develop a gesture-activated air-hovering touch-sensitive UI technology, which enables user to type in data in the air with their finger gesture.


At the core of the system is KETI’s software algorithm that can analyze and process signal frequencies and human gesture patterns referring its archives of pattern data.
