(iTers News)- Intel Corp. has completed its 6th generation X86 architecture-based CPU lineups targeting a wide array of application markets.

According to the product roll-out road-map, Intel Korea Co., Ltd., a Korean subsidiary of Intel Corp., and its partners have showcased a broad spectrum of PC systems from tablet PC to all in one to 2 in 1 ultra-slim notebook PCs to workstation.

Kwon Myung Sook, country manger and president with Intel Korea said, “The 6th generation Intel core architecture outperforms previous architectures in scalability, energy efficiency, and user experiences. We will work together with PC vendors to help build a wide variety of computing devices with the 6th generation architecture-based CPUs.”

Codenamed as Skylake, Intel’s 6th generation CPU core architecture is what Intel said is the most powerful Intel X86 architecture ever on record.

Compared with a 5 year-old PC system, the Skylake core processor-built-in system, for example, can process jobs three times faster, but consume less power, getting the system battery life live 3 times longer  battery lifetime.

The Skylake is fabricated with Intel’s 14nm 3D FinFET chip-making technology that allows it to stack transistor cells in the 3 dimension enabling it to pack as many cells in a given silicon footprint  as possible without current leakages.

More importantly, the Skylake core is so scalable that it can be used with a wide array of devices from a USB card-size stick computer system to 2 in 1 ultra books to notebooks to all-in-desktop PCs to mobile workstations, operating at a wide range of voltages from 4.5W to 91W, depending on applications.

Based on the Skylake core, for example, Intel Corp. has rolled out a variety of new CPUs that are optimized to power specific applications ranging from Core m3, m5, and m7 for 2in1 and tablets to Xeon CPU for mobile workstation systems.

In addition, the new CPU line-up will work with other Intel technologies like WiDi, or Wireless Display, wireless charging system and 3D depth real sensor camera chip to offer new user experiences. Running on the Windows 10 OS, they will also allow PC users to maximize their experienced with Microsoft’s intelligent personal assistant ‘Cortana’ and vision-and touch-based secure system access program “Hello”.
