Built with PureVu CCNW6611L H.264 media SOC, LG’s Wi-Fi based- Miracast wireless display adapter supports 1080p media processing, HDCP 2.1 content protection, and optimized interactivity, enabling users to share wirelessly and mirror full HD content or their favorite games on a larger TV screen.
Especially, the wireless adopter was designed to work together with LG’s Optimus G smart phones and Google’s Android 4.2 v. OS-run Nexus reference phone.
As a growing list of smart phones is implementing HD screens as their mainstream display technology, users are increasingly eager to watch their video downloads on large screens.

The so-called second screen viewing experience phenomenon is now fueling demand for a flurry of wireless and wired technologies like MHL2.0, wireless HD, Wi-Fi-based Miracast, and HDMI. The radio bandwidths of all those technologies are wide enough to deliver full-HD content with no data latency.
According to Display Search, Miracast-enabled devices would top 1.5 billion units.

"Cavium's expertise and innovative solutions for wireless media streaming enabled a rapid development cycle for the Wireless Display adapter, enabling us to be one of the first to bring our Miracast display adapter to the market since the recent launch of the standard."

Its built-in decryption off-load engine and its expertise in security processing and content protection capability also makes a high bandwidth digital content protection, or HDCP 2.1 available on LG’s Wireless Display adopter, offering premium content support.
Leveraging Cavium's industry leading technology in low latency video processing, the Wireless Display adapter offers optimized end-to-end latency for seamless interactivity. The USB-powered design and the ultra small form-factor round out the key features of LG's new Miracast display adapter, making it an attractive accessory for LG's handset users.
"We are delighted to be a part of LG's global launch of their new Miracast display adapter," said Raj Singh, GM of Cavium's Digital Home & Office Division. "LG's decision to partner with Cavium on its new Miracast display adapter is a reflection of the common vision the companies share, and further establishes Cavium's position as a leading provider of wireless display solutions."
