(iTers News) – In a bid to wake up pent-up demand for tablet PCs in India, SWIPE Telecom today launched a slew of cutting-edge tablet PCs for the Indian market, specifically segmenting the product line-up into two demographic sectors –one for youth and kids and the other for professionals and business executives.

The Sacramento, California-based tablet PC maker introduced India's first 3D tablet PC called 3D LIFE, targeting kids ad youths.

Powered by ARM Cortex A13 1.5GHz processor, the 3D Life tablet PC runs on Android 4.03 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, featuring a 7-inch TFT-five-point touch capacitive screen.

To allure game-phile kids and youth, the 7-inch tablet PC offers breathtaking 3D gaming and 3D video playback experiences for 5 to 6 hours with a 3400mAh battery.



The 3D Life incorporates a 4GB internal memory and a 512 MB DD RAM, boasting a 2MP front camera that supports video calling.

The company also unveiled another 'first-of-its-kind' tabX78 Float series targeted towards executives and business professionals in what it said is India's slimmest and lightest tablet.

The Float series of tablet PCs weigh 295 grams with 8.5mm thickness. The X78 Float series has Hindi language support, running on the Ice Sandwich and ARM A-10 1.5GHz processor core.

The third rollout is tabX74S- HALO series, a 7-inch smartphone Tablet with SIM functionality for calling and browsing internet, which runs on the same Ice Cream Sandwich.

It features a touch screen with 5-point touch, a superfast 1 GB DDR III RAM, 4 GB in-built memory with front and back shooters and Bluetooth.

Shripal Gandhi, Founder and CEO, SWIPE Telecom, said, " India is fast approaching the 1 million per annum tablet sales. The market for Tablets is poised to explode to the extent that 1 million tablets will be sold every month in the next 3-5 years."

"Our internal research shows massive latent demand for technologically superior tablets such as 3D technology and a Smartphone tablet at competitive prices,” added he. Swipe Telecom is a business entity that exclusively target Indian IT market.
