According to industry sources, Sony has signed a deal with LG Display to purchase large-size organic light emitting diode, or OLED display panel for TVs from LG Display.
The panel shipments are slated to start in the 2nd quarter, as Sony plans to ship OLED TVs starting from the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Sony is forecast to produce approximately 100,000 OLED TVs annually.
