The camera lens maker said that it has signed a deal to supply its front-facing camera lens for Samsung Electronics. The lens will be built into Samsung’s low-cost smartphone Galaxy A6.
Launched globally in early May, the new smartphone is customized to take selfie pictures. Galaxy A6’s front-facing camera supports 16MP (megapixel) and A6+ supports 24MP. The smartphones’ cameras have aperture ratio of F1.9.
Samsung has been buying camera lens from Korean camera lens makers like Sekonix, Kolen, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Haesung Optics.
Sekonix is also supplying front-facing camera lens for Galaxy A6.
