The Korean vernacular IT daily Electronics Times quoted Chinese local newspapers as saying that BBK and Royole are considering to construct their respective flexible OLED fabrication facilities in 2017.

BBK is a parent company of two Chinese smartphone makers VIVO and OPPO.

Royole is well known for flexible display technology in China.

VIVO and OPPO command relatively higher market shares in the Chinese smart phone market.

According the news report, BBK has established a separate venture called as MGV to construct  an OLED facility that is capable to produce 60,000 OLED panels per month.

Meanwhile, Royole plans to build a 5.5th generation OLED facility in Shenzhen, China, which will churn out 45,000 OLED display panels per month.
