(iTers News) - Temboo said that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., has selected its technology stack to support the new ARTIK platform for the Internet of Things, or IoT.

The ARTIK platform includes a series of new programmable Samsung development boards that ship with Temboo software pre-loaded, enabling developers to bring the computing power and flexible programming features of Temboo's cloud-based platform to all ARTIK enabled devices.

Temboo is a technology stack that brings together hardware platforms, programming languages, data storage services, APIs, and connectivity options to build the Internet of Things.

Temboo provides a complete platform for IoT developers that is optimized for MCUs, SoCs, gateways, mobile apps, and more.

Devices can connect to the Temboo platform to execute any of over 2,000 processes for more than 100 APIs, databases, and code utilities in its one-of-a-kind Choreo Library, and also build their own processes to connect to any other web-based resource.

A Temboo library is loaded on the Samsung ARTIK platform, enabling ARTIK boards to behave more intelligently and flexibly when programmed using Temboo.

"Bringing Temboo's technology stack to the ARTIK platform is an important part of our effort to provide developers all the tools they need to design and build a wide range of IoT devices and applications," says Curtis Sasaki, Vice President of Ecosystem, Samsung Electronics. "Together, we can lower the barriers around programming IoT devices to interact with the cloud, enabling developers to build multi-functional applications in minutes."

Trisala Chandaria, co-founder of Temboo said, "With a Temboo library pre-loaded with the ARTIK platform, Temboo users can begin working with ARTIK right off the bat to build IoT applications that take full advantage of the integration between Temboo's connected device software stack and Samsung's ARTIK platform."
